Training Modules
The training modules for the District Entrepreneurship Programme, Commercial Programme, YouStart GraceWorks and YouStart NABCO are provided below:
District Entrepreneurship Programme
Training for the District Entrepreneurship Programme will include the following mandatory and optional modules:
- Introduction to YouStart training programme (mandatory)
- Entrepreneurship (mandatory)
- Financial Management (mandatory)
- Good Corporate Citizenship, Governance and Compliance (mandatory)
- Digital Literacy (optional)
- Human Resource Management (optional)
- Marketing and Customer Service (optional)
- Kaizen (optional)
- Other technical and vocational trainings will be rolled-out to beneficiaries based on the needs of the entrepreneurs
Commercial Programme
The training modules to be covered under the Commercial Programme will include the following:
- Introduction to YouStart training programme
- Entrepreneurship
- Financial Management
- Good Corporate Citizenship, Governance and Compliance
- Risk and Credit Management
- Market Linkages
- Human Resource Management
- Leadership
- Kaizen
- Digital transformation
- Other technical and vocational trainings will be rolled-out to beneficiaries based on the needs of the entrepreneurs
Commercial Programme

The training modules to be covered under the YouStart Grace Programme will include the following:
- Financial Management
- Good Corporate Citizenship
- Values & Ethics
- Technology & Digitisation
- Other technical and vocational trainings i.e., Agriculture and Agri business, Fashion, Catering will be rolled-out to beneficiaries based on the needs of the entrepreneurs
YouStart NABCO Programme
Training for the YouStart NABCO beneficiaries will include the following mandatory and optional modules:
- Introduction to YouStart training programme (mandatory)
- Entrepreneurship (mandatory)
- Financial Management (mandatory)
- Good Corporate Citizenship, Governance and Compliance (mandatory)
- Digital Literacy (optional)
- Human Resource Management (optional)
- Marketing and Customer Service (optional)
- Kaizen (optional)
- Other technical and vocational trainings will be rolled-out to beneficiaries based on the needs of the entrepreneurs
Mode of Training Delivery
The training sessions will be either In-person or virtual. The 21st Century learning approach will be adopted for all YouStart trainings. The training sessions will employ an active learning, and learner centered model.
1. In-person training:
Entrepreneurs will be scheduled for training once successful at the application phase. The entrepreneurs will be informed of the training days, modules, and time for their scheduled training two weeks ahead of their scheduled training date. Trainings will be held in the region/district of the entrepreneurs and the language of delivery will be based on the dialect selected at the application phase by the entrepreneur.
2. Virtual training:
Entrepreneurs will have access to a customer portal which contains e-learning videos. The videos will equip beneficiaries to gain skills and knowledge in diverse areas as well as areas relevant to their sector/industry. The e-learning videos will be delivered in 7 languages i.e., English, Ga, Ewe, Akan, Dagbani, Pidgin English, and Sign Language
